About Semax
Semax is a peptide-based drug derived from the ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) molecule. It was developed in the 1980s by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a potential treatment for stroke, traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders. The drug is currently approved for use in Russia and Ukraine primarily for its purported nootropic, neuroprotective, and neurorestorative properties.
It is believed to increase the production of neurotrophic factors, neurotransmitters, and other substances that are involved in neural plasticity and memory formation. It is also thought to improve brain circulation and protect neurons from damage caused by hypoxia. In addition, it has been studied as a potential treatment for symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, and ADHD.

Creating Semax Nasal Spray
Materials
- 30mg Vial of Semax
- 30ml Bacteriostatic Water
Reconstitution and Mixing
- Using a syringe, draw enough bacteriostatic water to fill half of the 30mg vial of Semax
- Once it’s fully dissolved transfer the liquid into your nasal spray bottle
- Add the remaining 30ml of Bacteriostatic water.
- You should now have 30mg of peptide in 30ml solution
Dosing
Based on our material amounts we can calculate the dosing:
- A single spray will produce .1ml of liquid.
30mg / .1ml = 100 mcg
Mixing Alternatives
30mg Semax diluted in 30ml water would be 30,000mcg/30 = 1000mcg per ml OR 100mcg per .1ml spray
60mg Semax diluted in the same amount of water is 60,000/30 = 2000mcg per ml OR 200mcg per .1ml spray
120mg Semax, 120,000/30 = 4000mcg per ml OR 400mcg per spray
Essentially, the formula is (WEIGHT IN MCG / VOLUME OF WATER) / VOLUME OF SOLUTION DISPENSED
Of course, once you reconstitute you’ll want to store your spray bottle in the fridge to preserve potency.
